Per Veritatem Vis - Strength Through Truth
Brother of the Third Degree.
First published in 1894, Brother of the Third Degree is a work of esoteric allegorical fiction that was
written at the height of the Golden age of Occultism. This novel serves as an inspirational tale of
initiation, intrigue, and a mysterious brotherhood that not only closely guards the secrets of occult
wisdom but turns the wheels of history itself. It shows Freemasonry as everything it should be:
educational, active, and of the utmost moral fortitude.
The Kybalion
First published by the Yogi Publishing Society in 1908 under the anonymous authorship of "Three Initiates",
The Kybalion expounds upon the veiled teachings of Hermes Trismegistus in layman's terms for the first time
since the work was rediscovered in the 19th Century. In the study of Esoteric texts such as The Kybalion,
individuals can gain powerful insights into themselves and the world. Freemasonry assists each member in the
work of self-improvement, which can be greatly enhanced by understanding the nature of reality. This statement,
however, begs the question: “What is the fundamental nature of reality?” The underlying teaching of The Kybalion
is that everything is governed by seven universal laws. These laws are categorized in the book as the Principles
of Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect, and Gender. The Kybalion explains
that by examining these principles and applying them to life, scholars can increase their wisdom and knowledge.
The Magic of Masonry
Embark on a fascinating journey into the world of Freemasonry with Arthur Edward Powell's insightful book,
"The Magic of Freemasonry." Delving into its rich symbolism and traditions, Powell offers readers a thought-provoking
exploration of this ancient fraternity. From its historical roots to its contemporary relevance, this engaging
work provides a balanced perspective on Freemasonry's spiritual and philosophical aspects. Whether you're a
Freemason seeking deeper understanding or simply intrigued by its mystique, "The Magic of Freemasonry" invites
you to uncover the hidden truths within this esteemed tradition.
On Holy Ground.
On Holy Ground tells a story little known outside Co-Masonry. Co-Masonry, the branch of Freemasonry
that accepts men and women, in its second Century in North America, is one of many "silences" in history.
Seldom written until now is the history of the Honorable Order of American Co-Masonry, the American
Federation of Human Rights, today the largest Co-Masonic Body on the continent. "On Holy Ground"
traces women's early entry into the Operative Masonic guilds and Speculative otherwise all-male
Freemasonic Lodges; explains women's unfair exclusion from the Craft; and the rise in Europe of
Co-Masonry, which finally swung the doors open to female initiates. "On Holy Ground" introduces
the reader to the earliest Co-Masons and the founders of their Orders throughout the world that
would go on to form Co-Masonry in North America.
Initiates of the Flame.
Written in 1922, Initiates of the Flame is one of the great esoteric writer Manly Palmer Hall's first
published writings and survived nearly a century to become an often overlooked gem that was extracted
from the nearly infinite treasure-house that was the mind and imagination of Manly Hall. This small
book details the sacred, secret traditions of the Guardians of the Flame, the preservers of the human
spirit who have worked side by side with mankind throughout the ages and provides a hint towards the
first step on the path to join them in the Labors.
The Builders
The Builders, by Joseph Fort Newton is one of the best investigations of the history and development of
modern Freemasonry from the Ancient Mysteries that is available today. The wisdom it contains within
its pages will serve to inspire the reader as to the great historical depth contained within the ancient
Craft of Freemasonry. Newton traces the occult influence and esoteric origins on what is now known as
Freemasonry and paints a picture of incredible detail that cannot help but educate the reader.
Extremely well-researched and footnoted, The Builders will prove an excellent tool for anyone who
wishes to learn more about the majesty and symbolic efficiency of Freemasonry
Haunted Chambers
These women aren't supposed to have existed. But they did. Haunted Chambers, for the first time ever,
presents not only the most complete list of early women Freemasons but also as much detail about their
lives as can still be found. They include medieval women stone cutters; so-called "adoptive" women Freemasons;
an aristocrat; a countess; an early New Brunswick settler; a war hero; a writer of women's rights; an immigrant
Irish girl; the famed sculptress of Abraham Lincoln's statue in the US Capitol Rotunda and many whose names are
now lost. "Haunted Chambers" is highly recommended to anyone who wants the actual history of early women
Freemasons and are not afraid to read it.
Journey to the East
Herman Hesse was a master storyteller and esotericist who was unique in his ability to express the
tragedy of human life. His works are not cautionary or melancholy. They are celebrations of our follies
and our right to commit them. They are absurd and abstract while being precise and unflinching all at
once. In Journey to the East we find a tale of human failure, one that pokes and prods at all of the dark
places in our collective unconscious where we would rather no one tread. But as the seeker after
wisdom commits to follow the Path wherever it leads, Journey to the East is an invaluable guide.
At The Feet of the Master
Written by a young scholar of the Ancient Wisdom, this book contains the lessons given to him by his
teacher, referred to as the “Master,” during his preparation for Initiation. It is considered a reproduction
of the Master’s own words and the Master’s thoughts dressed in his student’s writings. Although the
author’s identity is cloaked with a pseudonym, many people have attributed this work to the World
Teacher, Jiddu Krishnamurti. A Theosophical work it is indispensable for whomever seeks the true
Initiation to be found in Co-Masonry today.
