First published in 1900, The Evolution of Life and Form presents in book form a series lectures given in India in 1898 by Brother Annie Besant: a prodigious thinker, prolific public speaker, and prominent Co-Mason. This book explains in detail the Theosophical perspective on human Evolution and the structure of life. Through the combination of Eastern Mysticism and Western Science, Besant set out a new cosmology of the world, specifically in regard to the spiritual hierarchy and the evolutionary mechanisms contained within.
